13-year-old arrested for shooting ducks in Spring neighborhood

A 13-year-old boy was arrested Sunday after neighbors said he was shooting ducks in a Spring neighborhood.

It happened in the 21300 block of Sugarbridge Lane. Someone reported seeing the boy acting suspiciously, and authorities say he had gone onto private property without permission.

Officials confirmed the boy was using a weapon to shoot at ducks that live in the neighborhood. He was taken into custody for trespassing. The Texas Game Warden was notified to look into possible wildlife violations.

It’s unclear how many ducks were hurt or why the boy was targeting them. The case remains under investigation.
