A woman is facing charges after authorities say she injected counterfeit Botox into a patient’s face without a medical license.
Prosecutors say Rodriguez Flores injected her customers’ faces with counterfeit Botox, an unknown substance that caused physical injuries.
She has been charged with practicing medicine without a license causing physical harm, a felony, and is currently in jail with a $7,500 bond.
According to her business Facebook page, Rodriguez Flores described herself as “Nurse Certified 👩⚕️ Master Inyector 💉 Phlebotomy 🩸 Medical Assistant ⚕️ Licensed Cosmetologist.”
The page identifies her as the owner of Bella Skin Care, a business listed at an address on Greens Parkway in Houston. However, court documents state she is currently unemployed and not licensed to practice medicine.
Court documents reveal she was not licensed, did not have a medical permit, and wasn’t supervised by a medical professional as the law requires.
