Person killed after being struck by train in north Houston

HOUSTON – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a train on Friday afternoon in north Houston, according to the Houston Police Department.

The accident was reported at 4:19 p.m. at 3599 Melbourne St.

Both HPD and Houston firefighters responded to the scene, where the individual was pronounced dead.

The incident is currently under investigation.
