Dive team recovers body seen floating in Buffalo Bayou in Houston’s Second Ward
HPD recovers body from Buffalo Bayou (Houston Police Department)
HOUSTON – The Houston Police Department says its dive team has recovered a person’s body which was seen floating in Buffalo Bayou Friday.
HPD says the body was recovered in the 800 block of N. York, in the Second Ward.
Officials say the body was seen and reported just after 4 p.m. The dive team responded and recovered it from the water.
Police haven’t confirmed whether the body is that of a man or a woman.
An autopsy will be conducted to determine the person’s cause of death.
