Rogers, 56, was taken into custody Monday at a home in Converse. Members of the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, including DPS Special Agents and several other agencies, tracked him down using investigative leads. Martinez Jr., 42, was arrested Tuesday at an apartment complex in Lubbock. DPS Special Agents, along with the Lorenzo Police Department and Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office, coordinated to take him into custody.
In 2008, Martinez Jr. was convicted of burglary of a habitation with intent to sexually abuse a 15-year-old girl. He had been wanted out of Harris County since November for indecency with a child by sexual contact. Another warrant was issued in March in Crosby County for failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements.
