Details are scarce, but Santa Fe ISD shared on its Facebook page that over the weekend, the so-called cyber event caused a “network interruption which is affecting internet and phone service” throughout the district.

On Wednesday, the district reopened its campuses with Junior and High School STAAR testing scheduled for Thursday and Friday.

However, at Santa Fe High School, the Biology STAAR would be rescheduled for another date.

Elementary STAAR testing, however, would take place next week, but the days would be based on the students’ campus -- administrators would give further detail to parents.

“We will continue to share information as it becomes available,” Santa Fe ISD concluded in its statement. “Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to fully restore internet and phone services.”
