Woman suspected of drunk driving arrested with children in car

A woman who was suspected of driving drunk while her two children were in the vehicle is now behind bars.
Deputies with Harris County Pct. 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office pulled the woman’s vehicle over shortly after midnight on April 13.
The driver was identified as 41-year-old Tameisha Okpara. She had her two children—ages nine and six—in the car with her.
Okpara was given a field sobriety test and showed multiple signs of impairment. She was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated with child passenger, a state jail felony.
Okpara was given a bond of $2,500 and remains in custody.
