3 people hospitalized after shooting in Third Ward

Three people have been transported to a nearby hospital after being injured during a shooting in the Third Ward.

The incident was reported just after 7:15 p.m. Sunday night in the 3300 block of Anita Street.

Two of the victims were grazed by shrapnel while they were sitting on their porch. They were transported to a hospital with minor injuries.

Another person was shot in the leg but managed to drive down the Gulf Freeway before being transported to a hospital.

There is no information on a suspect at this time.
