Man calls 911, admits to killing girlfriend before turning gun on self inside downtown Houston apartment

HOUSTON – An investigation is underway after a man and woman were both found dead inside of an apartment Thursday morning, according to the Houston Police Department.

The discovery was made at 10:40 a.m. at the apartment complex, located at 1810 Main St.

Investigators said the 26-year-old man called 911, admitting to killing his girlfriend in the apartment.

Once officers arrived, they found the 21-year-old woman with a gunshot wound and the man with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. They were both pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident is being investigated as a murder-suicide.
