Houston rodeo fire: Journey concert cancelled at Rodeo Houston due to electrical fire
HOUSTON – As the band Journey was performing at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Friday evening, the sound suddenly stopped.
Video from the incident shows the speakers cut off as the band was singing “Don’t Stop Believin.”
A witness who was at the concert told KPRC 2 the announcer came on and said it was a power outage. The witness also said the band left the stage mid-song and several people holding fire extinguishers were seen inspecting the area around the drums.
Shortly afterwards, the witness told KPRC 2 the announcer came back on and said the concert had been cancelled because of an electrical fire.
Rodeo Houston posted on Facebook announcing the cancelation due to an “unforeseen electrical incident under the stage area.”
