Nearly 25,000 without power in Houston-area as strong winds blow through No description found
HOUSTON – Nearly 25,000 customers are without power following strong storms in the Houston-area Tuesday morning and as strong winds blow in behind them.
According to the CenterPoint Energy Outage Tracker, a total of 39,854 customers are without power as of 3:15 p.m.
By 5 p.m., the number had been cut down to 24,048.
Most of the outages are concentrated in Harris County, but there are also some pockets of outages in Fort Bend and Brazoria County as well.
A Wind Advisory remains in effect until 6 p.m. Sustained winds of 20-25 mph with gusts of up to 45 mph are possible.
