Man arrested for striking law enforcement vehicle while driving drunk in Humble

A man is now in custody after his reckless actions behind the wheel led to a very swift arrest by law enforcement officials.

On Tuesday, a man driving a dark blue BMW sedan in the Humble area struck a Harris County Pct. 4 SUV, causing the patrol vehicle’s front left wheel to become dislodged from the car. He fled the crash scene but was found a short time later.

Upon further inspection, the man behind the wheel of the BMW was impaired. He was taken in on a custody and charged with driving while intoxicated.

Both the constable corporal in the SUV and the drunk driver were not injured.
