Baytown Police Department officials told KPRC 2 that the woman they were chasing had an active warrant for aggravated assault, along with possible other charges.

BPD terminated their pursuit at FM 2100, just north of I-10. At this time, Harris County Pct. 3 deputies took over.

During the pursuit, the woman allegedly crashed into a pedestrian’s vehicle and a Pct. 3 Constable’s cruiser before driving into a ditch and flipping over. One of the deputy’s vehicles allegedly landed on top of her car.

No injuries have been reported from the wreck. First responders are currently working to get both vehicles out of the ditch.

BPD said they first attempted to pull over the woman near the HEB located on Garth Road in Baytown. When she refused to surrender, the chase ensued.
