TRAFFIC ALERT: Icy roads in east Houston cause delays, frustrations at 610 and I-10 interchange

A stalled 18-wheeler at the 610 and I-10 interchange near the east side of Houston caused delays and frustration Wednesday morning as icy road conditions created a dangerous situation for drivers.

The big rig, which has been stuck since approximately 6 a.m., is blocking part of the I-10 ramp headed toward Baytown.

Despite the incident unfolding hours earlier, witnesses reported no wreckers or police had arrived on the scene as of mid-morning.

Drivers, including truckers waiting patiently in line, began losing their composure as they attempted to navigate around the stalled vehicle.
