PHOTOS: Car engulfed in flames on Houston highway

Officials with the Houston Fire Department are on the scene of a massive car fire on a Houston highway Wednesday afternoon.

The scene is on West Sam Houston Parkway Southbound near the West Park Tollway. HFD was alerted just after 12 p.m.

Two fire engines have made it to the scene, and the fire is being extinguished. The cause of the fire is not known at this time.

Thankfully, no injuries have been reported, and nobody has been transported to a hospital at this time.
