Former Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg has been hired in a new position within the county.
On Sunday, it was confirmed that Ogg had been hired as a senior policy advisor for Harris County Pct. 3 Commissioner Tom Ramsey’s office.

“Commissioner Ramsey is looking forward to the wealth of knowledge she’ll bring to Precinct 3,” a spokesperson tells KPRC 2.
Ogg served as district attorney for Harris County from Jan. 2017 through Dec. 2024. She ran for a third term, but was defeated in the Democratic primary by Sean Teare, who would go on to win the general election. Teare was sworn in on Jan. 1 of 2025.
Michael is a Kingwood native who loves visiting local restaurants and overreacting to Houston sports. He joined the KPRC 2 family in 2024. He earned his BA from Texas A&M University in 2022 and his MA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2023.
