SPRING, Texas – Authorities say a man was found shot to death in the parking lot of a neighborhood recreation center in Spring Thursday.
The shooting happened in the Birnam Wood subdivision at the corner of Hickorygate and Birnam Wood Boulevard.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office said they arrived and found an approximately 18-20-year-old man dead from gunshot wounds.
Sgt. Jason Brown with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said there were two or three other people with the man when the incident happened.
“Several witnesses heard gunshots and then saw these individuals running on foot,” Brown said.
The man who died has not yet been identified. Brown said it is possible the others who fled may live in the neighborhood.
Anyone who may have security camera video or any information about the shooting is asked to contact the sheriff’s office.
