Argument between cousins leads to deadly shooting in NE Houston

HOUSTON – Houston Police are at the scene of a deadly shooting on the northeast side of town Thursday.

It happened in the 8500 block of Sterlingshire Street.

According to Lt. Larry Crowson with HPD, two cousins got into an argument when one of them shot the other one. The man who was shot died at the scene.

Crowson says the suspect has been detained and is claiming self-defense. He says this is the first homicide in the City of Houston this year.
