Damage reported in Liberty County after severe storms, tornado moves through area

LIBERTY COUNTY, Texas – Strong storms left damage behind in Liberty County Thursday.
Bonnie Parker shared a photo on Click2Pins of a tornado spotted northwest of Dayton. This was the same storm that spawned a tornado which was spotted crossing Lake Houston .
The Cypress Lakes subdivision on the banks of the Trinity River reported heavy damage from either a tornado or damaging winds.
Tree falls on Liberty County home. (Copyright 2024 by KPRC Click2Houston - All rights reserved.) The Allen’s home on Pine Ridge Drive was heavily damaged as two large trees came into their home.
The couple, both in their 80s, had just left the room where the tree came in. They were not hurt.

Other structures and trees in the area were also damaged.
Right now, we have not heard of any injuries.
