Houston’s Bush Intercontinental Airport ground stop lifted after thunderstorm warnings

Severe thunderstorms have rolled through the Houston area, leading to significant disruptions at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) Tuesday afternoon.
As of 3:56 p.m. on Christmas Eve, all departures to IAH have been grounded, with the ground stop expected to last until 5:15 p.m. As of 5:45 p.m., IAH was no longer listed as a ground stop airport by the FAA.
