Man found shot to death in alley behind Sunnyside apartment complex

HOUSTON – Authorities are piecing together what led up to a man’s death Sunday night after his body was found in an alley behind an apartment complex in Sunnyside.

Houston police say there is limited information because witnesses reported hearing the gunfire but didn’t actually see what happened at the apartment complex on Higgins and Noel Street just blocks away from Grimes Park.

Investigators said they were called around 10:40 p.m. and when they arrived, found an unidentified man’s body, believed to be between 25 and 35 years old.

No weapons were recovered at the scene, but police said they’re combing the area for surveillance videos and asking anyone with any information to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477).
