Amber Alert issued for missing 15-year-old girl last seen in Katy area nearly a week ago

HOUSTON – An Amber Alert has been issued for missing a 15-year-old girl who was last seen in the Katy area nearly a week ago, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

Alexa Jones was last seen in the 19400 block of Otter Trail in the Plantation Lakes subdivision on Friday Dec. 13 at midnight.

She was wearing a black T-shirt and grey sweat pants and wears prescribed vision glasses. She is 5′5″ tall and around 130 pounds.

Initially, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said they thought Alexa was just a runaway and treated the cases as such but recently made the discovery that she left with an adult male.

Details on how they made the discovery was not disclosed or available at this time.
