It happened around 9 p.m. when police were called to Avenue H and 74th Street in the Greater East End. That’s where HPD Lt. Riley said witnesses recalled two people damaged a car belonging to someone else. The two unidentified individuals got into an argument with the car owner, which escalated into a large fight.

Lt. Riley says it’s believed one of the individuals took out a knife to try and stab the car owner, who in turn took out a gun and started shooting. One person was hit and died at the scene; another was hurt and taken to a hospital in unknown condition.
