Officials respond to worksite after crane makes contact with active power line; no injuries reported

First responders rushed to the scene of a construction site after a crane accidentally made contact with an active power line.

The accident happened at a worksite near the intersection of Old Spanish Trl. and Staffordshire Blvd in Houston’s southside.

Officials with the Houston Fire Department tell KPRC 2 that, although the machinery was charged when the collision occurred, no injuries were sustained.

The scene is active, and we are still working to figure out if there was any damage to the equipment.
