Oil field testing blast blows out windows in NW Houston, damages cars; 1 person injured
An explosion at a business in northwest Houston blew out windows of surrounding businesses and damaged some nearby cars.
The blast happened just before 2 p.m. Tuesday at a business located at 4514 Brittmoore Rd.
Workers there were testing a new piece of equipment designed for an oil field.
The scene of the explosion (KPRC 2) The explosion sent shrapnel across the area, shattering windows and damaging nearby cars in the area.
Houston-area firefighters at the scene confirmed that the explosion did not contain fire. One person sustained minor injuries.
There were also no evacuations at the impacted facilities.
