METRO bus and SUV crash in HOV lane of I-45 northbound

A major car accident is being investigated and holding up traffic in the HOV lane on I-45.

The wreck involved a Jeep SUV and a METRO bus. The crash happened around 9:30 a.m. Monday on the northbound lanes IH-45 before North Street.

The SUV has major damage to the driver’s side of the vehicle and the windshield of the Metro bus is shattered.

A tow truck was trying to move the destroyed SUV around noon.

We’re working to find out if anyone was injured in the crash.
