Police capture armed man running on Highway 288 after fatal shooting

HOUSTON – An armed man who was seen running on Highway 288 and N. Macgregor Way was taken into custody after a person was shot to death on Monday morning.
The shooting was reported at 11:10 a.m. in the 5700 block of South Freeway.
Houston police found the gunman on 288 where he was taken into custody.
The shooting victim was also located.
No further details were released. The investigation is ongoing.
