Woman murdered in NW Houston apartment; suspected killer on the run

HOUSTON – Authorities are heading to a northwest Houston apartment complex after a woman was murdered Wednesday morning.
According to officials with the Houston Police Department, the woman was shot to death around 8 a.m. at the Willow Green apartment complex off Hwy 249 and Tomball Parkway. Two small children in the apartment alerted neighbors of the murder.
After the murder, the shooter is believed to have fled the scene. The identities of the gunman and the victim are not available at this time, but witnesses at the scene told investigators the suspected killer and the victim know each other.
Homicide detectives are en route to an apartment complex at 8301 Willow Place Drive North - near FM 1960 West - after a woman was fatally shot about 8 am.
Witnesses stated the suspect, known to the victim, fled the scene. #hounews
