Man dead after vehicle crashes into pole on Houston’s South Side

HOUSTON – A man is dead after crashing into a pole on Houston’s South Side.

It happened around 4:30 p.m. on the southbound feeder road of Highway 288 at Holly Hall Street.

Authorities say the man was transported to a local trauma center where he was pronounced dead.

The man’s identity has not yet been released.

Work crews were at the scene replacing the pole that was struck.
