HOUSTON – A large fire has been reported at a chemical plant in Baytown Monday afternoon.
The fire happened at the Raven Butene-1, a petroleum products company, located at 9520 East Freeway, at around 12:55 p.m.

Pictures from the area showed black smoke billowing from the area.
Company officials said a “process upset” incident occurred at its facility.
During this time, officials said residents will notice flames, flaring, noise, smoke in the community.
“We are coordinating with local officials, and working to resolve the issue as soon as possible,” official stated.
