Summer heat helped break the ERCOT all-time demand record Tuesday.
ERCOT grid tracker shows record-breaking demand (ERCOT grid tracker) According to the ERCOT grid tracker , demand hit 85,931 MW at 4:50 p.m. Tuesday.
The previous record was 85,508 MW set on August 10, 2023.
The grid tracker showed a total of 97,793 MW available at that time.
Naturally, with the growing power demand it shouldn’t come as a surprise that ERCOT reached another peak. According to ERCOT’s records , its grid has reached peak demand hours consecutively each year.
