Fire at Air Liquide plant (Harris County Precinct 8 Constable's Office)
HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Authorities responded to the scene of a transformer fire at a gas plant in southeast Harris County Sunday.

According to the La Porte Office of Emergency Management, the fire is at the Air Liquide plant in the 11700 block of Bay Area Blvd.
The roadway is closed from Fairmont Pkwy to Choate Rd, according to the Harris County Pct. 8 Constable’s Office.
As of 6:40 p.m., the La Porte Office of Emergency Management said the fire is mostly out and responders are suppressing remaining hot spots at the facility. First responders will remain on scene until the incident is completely over.
At 7:11 p.m., Air Liquide said the fire has been extinguished.

Due to the loss of power, residents in the area may notice increased flaring at additional facilities.
Air monitoring is being conducted to ensure there are no impacts.
