League City Police have arrested Desmond Taylor, a 37-year-old inmate who escaped custody early Sunday morning while receiving medical treatment at UTMB Victory Lakes.
Taylor was found and taken into custody without incident in the 1500 block of W League City Parkway near S Gulf Freeway.
Taylor, who had been held on a $200,000 bond for assault family violence with previous convictions, managed to escape from his hospital room around 1:02 a.m.
Despite an immediate search by League City Police and other agencies, he remained at large until his capture later in the day.
Taylor, a Houston resident, was initially taken to the hospital after complaining of a medical issue while in custody at the League City Jail.
