A man has been arrested following allegations of animal cruelty involving his girlfriend’s Chihuahuas.
According to court documents, Joshua Yuen, 24, is accused of killing one Chihuahua and causing serious bodily injury to another by striking and kicking them, throwing them against a wall, and restricting their breathing by choking.
Harris County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene on August 3 after receiving a report and found the two dogs with severe injuries. One dog was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other was taken for emergency veterinary care with serious injuries.
Yuen has been charged with cruelty to non-livestock animals and has been released on a $10,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court today.
