The Texas A&M baseball team went into last weekend’s Bryan-College Station regional tournament with lofty expectations, entering the weekend as the No. 3 ranked team in the field of 64. It’s safe to say the Aggies delivered on expectations, as they were the only team in Texas to punch a ticket to the super regional tournament.
Hosting a reginal for the second time in three years, the Aggies kicked off the weekend with an 8-0 victory on Friday against Grambling.
Then on Sunday, after Louisiana eliminated Texas, the Aggies wrapped up the tourney with a 9-4 victory in the Regional Final over the Ragin’ Cajuns.
Now, the Aggies are hosting a best-of-three series at Blue Bell Park in College Station against the Oregon Ducks, and the winner will advance to the College World Series. The Aggies enter the matchup with a 47-13 record, while Oregon sits at 40-18 overall.
