The Harris County Sheriff’s Office said it happened along the E. Sam Houston Pkwy N. at Little York.

According to the sheriff’s office, it appears two vehicles were traveling at a high rate of speed when one of them ran a red light, colliding into the other. The collision forced the other car into a light pole. The vehicle then appeared to explode before being engulfed in flames.
Two men in one car were killed. Two women who were in the other car were uninjured.
