1 dead after accident on the Gulf Freeway in La Marque

LA MARQUE, Texas – A person is now dead after being involved in a crash on the Gulf Freeway in the early hours of Monday morning.

According to TranStar, the crash was reported around 1:27 a.m. on IH-45 at FM-519/Main.

Galveston County officials confirmed the death but have not said who was killed on the roadway.

As of 7:25 a.m., the roads were reopened.
