2 men shot at NE Houston sports bar after fight breaks out

A disagreement at a sports bar in NE Houston turned violent early Saturday morning, resulting in two men being shot in the torso.
Police were called to the sports bar located on the 7100 block of Lyons around 1:50 a.m.

According to police, the altercation began when the waitress confronted two men, one of whom was caught on camera stealing her phone. A physical fight ensued after her boyfriend, who was nearby, got involved. The boyfriend then retrieved a gun from his car, hitting one of the individuals before firing two shots.
One person involved in the fight walked away and waited for help, while the waitresses managed to disarm the boyfriend before authorities arrived.
Both victims were transported to a local hospital and are expected to recover.
