That’s where officers say a man driving a Tahoe was heading southbound on Mangum and tried to turn on Sherwood when another driver in a BMW hit the Tahoe.

Police say there were four people in the Tahoe; two children and two adults. One of the children was ejected from the vehicle, but the other child and adult were hospitalized in unknown condition. The driver of that Tahoe, however, was confirmed dead at the scene.

Additionally, investigators say the BMW driver was rushed to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Witnesses told authorities the Tahoe did not yield when making the turn, which they believe may have caused the crash. Speed may have also played a factor, but an investigation remains underway.
