Investigation launched into child’s death in SE Houston

Houston police are investigating a child’s death in the 7100 block of Village Way near southeast Houston.

Police were called to the scene at 4:05 p.m. Tuesday to assist the Houston Fire Department with the call. When officers arrived at the scene, the child was already dead.

At this time, no cause of death has been determined. Houston police are dispatched to all child death incidents under the age of six that did not happen in a hospital.

The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
