The airline says about 30-45 minutes after takeoff, the flight steward checked a cabin door handle and noticed it was slightly loose.

Out of an abundance of caution, the aircraft turned around and returned to Bush Intercontinental Airport. The plane landed safely and all passengers got onto another plane.

According to FlightAware, the aircraft was a Boeing 737-800.

United provided the following statement:

United flight 2152 returned to Houston shortly after takeoff to address a loose door handle in the aircraft’s cabin. The flight landed safely, and we arranged for another plane to take our customers to Fort Lauderdale later that afternoon.
