Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley talks key issues after holding rally in Spring

SPRING, Texas – Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley held a rally in Spring Monday ahead of Super Tuesday.

The former Governor of South Carolina and Ambassador to the United Nations made a quick stop at the Sawyer Park Ice House a day after winning her first Presidential Primary in Washington D.C. by taking 63 percent of the vote.

Haley touched on several key issues including the economy, healthcare, and services for veterans and immigration.

“We need to defund sanctuary cities once and for all, we need to put down 25,000 Border Patrol and ICE agents on the ground and let them do their job and we’ll go back to the remain in Mexico policy,” Haley said.

KPRC 2 also asked Haley about Super Tuesday and whether or not she should or would concede.

“You know, we had a couple of great endorsements, We won D.C. last night, we are going to have 16 states and territories vote tomorrow and this is everybody’s chance to show the power of their voice,” she said.

“What we’re saying is we need to go back to fiscal government, paying down debt, making sure there’s more money in tax payers pockets,” said Haley.

Haley also touched on the Supreme Court’s decision to unanimously restore Mr. Trump to 2024 presidential primary ballots, rejecting state attempts to hold the former president accountable for the Capitol riot.

“Absolutely, the right thing, decision. We don’t need Secretaries of States or anyone else deciding who can and can’t be on the ballot, the people should always decide,” Haley said.
