HOUSTON – Have you ever been at home and heard so much gunfire that it sends a literal jolt through your body?

Following a series of violent, and sometimes deadly situations in the Houston area, several residents have reached out to KPRC 2 reporter Corley Peel to share their stories and experiences with hearing gunfire in their neighborhoods.

A few people who live near Townwood Park in southwest Houston told Peel that throughout the day, and during the night, they can hear heavy fire coming from what sounds like a machine gun.
