HOUSTON – Police are looking for two suspects, who are wanted in connection to a shooting outside a Washington Corridor club that injured four people, including security on Saturday, according to officers.
During the incident, one of the suspects also fired at two off-duty Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies.
“The fact that they would shoot indiscriminately at a club crowded with people just because they were asked to leave, whether they’re intoxicated or whatever shows that they really have very little regard for the safety of the people around them. We really want to get these individuals in custody,” HPD Assistant Chief Wyatt Martin said.
The shooting outside of Lincoln Bar on Washington Avenue at about 11:30 p.m.
Police responded to the scene due to the shooting.
Two men in their 20s had gotten into a fight at a club at the location, and they were asked to leave by security and two Harris County deputies, who were off-duty but working an extra job.
The suspects left the club, but they still argued with security about being allowed back inside.
One of the suspects got into a Chevrolet SUV, while the second man continued to argue with security.
A woman then told the man to also get in the vehicle, and this is when the driver took out a gun and fired at security and deputies from inside the vehicle.
“It’s lawlessness every weekend,” said Stacie Fairchild, who lives in the neighborhood with her husband, Mark.
“We’re kind of really just sick and tired of it,” Mark added.
There were several other people in the area, and four people were shot, including security.
The deputies were not hit.
Two people were taken to the hospital. They will have to undergo surgery but are expected to be OK.
Two other victims were treated at the scene and will also be OK.
Police are still trying to find the suspects, and they have a good description of them.
This case is still being investigated.
