All northbound lanes of West Grand Parkway South reopened near Katy after fiery 18-wheeler crash

A FedEx 18-wheeler was engulfed in flames during a crash on the West Grand Parkway South Monday morning, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. (KPRC)

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – All of the northbound lanes of West Grand Parkway South near Katy, Texas have been reopened after an 18-wheeler crashed and was engulfed in flames on Monday, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were dispatched to the 400 block of West Grand Parkway South regarding the crash around 7:44 a.m.

Hazmat officials arrived at the scene and helped clean the area.
