62-year-old La Marque man arrested after allegedly shooting 40-year-old during argument

LA MARQUE, Texas – The La Marque Police Department said a 62-year-old man has been arrested after he shot a man during an argument Monday morning.
According to police, they responded to the 100 block of Anita at approximately 4:30 a.m. Monday.
Police said the resident at the address, identified as Richard Pleasant Sr., shot a 40-year-old man during an argument.
The victim was transported to Mainland Medical Hospital by a family member in a private vehicle. The victim is in serious condition, but is expected to survive his injuries.
Pleasant Sr. is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. His bond has been set at $100,000.
