3 teens shot while riding down Southwest Freeway

HOUSTON – Authorities are investigating after they said three teenagers were shot while driving down the Southwest Freeway overnight.

The Houston Police Department said that officers were notified by Memorial Hermann Southwest that a car pulled up with three gunshot victims.

Officers responded to the scene and found a man who had been shot in the head and two women in their late teens who had gunshot wounds to their legs.

Police said that the victims had been bowling in Humble and were driving to a Dennys in southwest Houston when a Toyota Tundra was tailgating them on the freeway. The suspect in the Tundra then overtook the victim’s Buick SUV on the right, rolled down their window, and began shooting.

Officials said that at last check, the man was in surgery and the two women were stable.

The driver of the vehicle was uninjured in the shooting.

At this time, there is no motive for the shooting.

Police said that the suspect was driving a Toyota Tundra but have not yet released any additional information.
