Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said that deputies were called about a possible crash. When deputies arrived at the scene, they discovered that the vehicle had struck a house.

They said that they found the driver dead with apparent gunshot wounds.

He is believed to be a Hispanic male in his late teens or early 20s. Officials also said he had been driving a stolen vehicle that had been taken around midnight.

Gonzalez said that the driver and the passengers inside his vehicle may have been involved in a drive-by shooting with a group of teenagers who were walking to the school bus stop. The sheriff added that this could mean that the driver was possibly shot by one of the passengers who was in his vehicle.

Details were limited however Gonzalez said that a male, believed to be a teen, was seen fleeing the scene on foot.

Residents in the MUD 150 area are asked to check their surveillance cameras and call (713) 221-6000 or CrimeStoppers Houston if they have any information.
