TEXAS CITY, Texas – Texas City Police are investigating a shooting which left two people dead Thursday.
The shooting happened on the Texas City Dike.
Texas City Police Captain Manuel Johnson said that a man and a woman were found near a car about four miles out on the 5-mile-long dike.
Johnson said one of the people were dead outside the vehicle while the other was inside.
Police were called to the 4000 block of Dike Road at around 5:30 PM. The crime scene is located near the beach on the dike.
Police closed Dike Road from the 4-mile marker to the end of the dike.
No one witnessed the shootings, Johnson said.
