HOUSTON – Two ship crew members are dead, and another was injured after a fire in the Port of Houston.
According to a Port of Houston representative, a fire broke out onboard the MV Stride ship, docked at Barbours Cut Container Terminal, early Monday morning.
The fire has since been extinguished, but the Port of Houston Fire Department will monitor the vessel for at least 24 hours.
It’s not clear what started the fire. The Harris County Fire Marshal and the Medical Examiner’s offices are investigating.
